Children's Worship Each Sunday morning children ages 3-5 are invited to a special class during the preaching, regular service. Several adults provide a period of worship and instruction with the children in mind. Puppet shows, songs and lessons are made exciting for them. This not only benefits the children, it allows the parents to get more from the worship service by not having to keep their young children occupied. Prayer & Care Groups Concord Road is broken up geographically into four groups: Red,Yellow,Blue and Green. Each group has the responsibility of caring for the needs of its members. When death or illness strikes, these groups arrange to take care of the family needs. Each month each group is assigned a topic for prayer. These groups maintain an important ministry in the church. __________________________________________ Fellowship Groups Concord Road provides a number of fellowship activities for all ages. In addition to the congregational meal at the building, youth programs, and other fellowship activities for the whole congregation, we have some some smaller groups who meet regularly. They include: 30's, 40's & 50's An exciting group of folks who enjoy fellowhip and fun times together. If you fall into any of these age groups, your welcome to hang out. 49 er's Watch for news, birthday's, and happenings about this group. We celebrate our folks in this group. KFC - Kids for Christ The KFC program was implemented several years ago to keep 1st thru 5th graders involved in learning more about God & Christ. KFC meets every Sunday night during the regular worship service. The young men lead songs, prayers, read scripture and an adult male will speak to them. The young girls also have a seperate session of songs & prayers. They also practice in presentations for Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes and studying for Bible Bowl. This program is for children in grades 1 thru 5th to help them build stronger relationships with one another. LOG'S - Life Only Gets Sweeter For this group, life is just getting sweeter and they are enjoying life. Come join us for good Christian fun and fellowship. PreSchool Playgroup (Watch for playdates) Our little bitties and mom's. Young Professionals & Young Married's A fun filled group of young adults and young married couples. A great opportunity to meet young adults who study the word of God, have monthly devo's, and work with the youth. Youth Group "Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) At Concord Road, we believe that the youth program is here to support the parents in the spiritual training of their children. We do this by providing many opportunities for service, Christian fellowship, participation in worship services, devotionals and by providing Bible classes that are grounded in biblical truths. Our goal is to reflect Christ and have the young people grow to do the same. The youth group consists of grades 6th - 12th. |
